Con Market

Con Market is Da Nang's biggest and busiest traditional market, a sprawling indoor maze of several thousand stalls where locals actually shop. Come for the food: the surrounding street-food area is one of the best cheap eats in the city, piled with banh mi, che desserts, seafood and Quang-style noodles. Inside it's everything else — fabric, household goods, dried fish, souvenirs — and a fair amount of good-natured haggling. It's hot, crowded and loud, which is exactly right. Go hungry, keep an eye on your bag, and don't expect polished; this is the real working city. Free to wander.
